Visitors new/repeat

Hi, Maybe somebody can tell me which method i can use for a report with the metric visitors with "new" or "repeat" params?(and then, is possible add search engines element?)

Sample 1:(1 dec to 31 dec)

total visitors 100

new 70

repeat 30

Sample 2(1 dec to 31 dec)

total google visitors 80

new 50

repeat 30

Many thanls, Daniel

Hi Daniel,

If you called Report.QueueRanked with the following reportDescription it will get you pretty close to what I think you are asking for with the search engine breakdown. You would then of course need to call Report.GetStatus and then Report.GetReport to finish out the process of checking and retrieving the report.

{
    "reportDescription":{
        "reportSuiteID":"myReportSuiteID",
        "date":"2012-02",
        "metrics":[
            {
                "id":"instances"
            }
        ],
        "elements":[
            {
                "id":"searchEngine"
            },
            {
                "id":"customerLoyalty"
            }
        ]
    }
}

I hope that helps,

-Sean

Hi Sean,
Why this report
{
"reportDescription":{
"reportSuiteID":"myReportSuiteID",
"date":"2012-02",
"metrics":[
{
"id":"instances"
}
],
"elements":[
{
"id":"searchEngine"
},
{
"id":"customerLoyalty"
}
]
}
}
And This report
{
"reportDescription":{
"reportSuiteID":"myReportSuiteID",
"date":"2012-02",
"metrics":[
{
"id":"pageViews"
}
],
"elements":[
{
"id":"searchEngine"
}
]
}
}
I get the same results?
how can I get pageviews and Searchengine data?
Thanks
Daniel

Daniel,

If your report suite has been moved to the new v15 processing then this isn't a problem -- since with v15 you can get the standard "pageviews" metric in the SearchEngines report.

However, i assume you are on v14. In this case you would need to alter your implementation to fire a custom event (such as "event1") every time there is a page view. This is an implementation best practice in many cases. Then you could request that metric ("event1" not "pageViews") with the SearchEngine element and you will get your answer.

Hope that helps.

-Sean
